In addition to its storing and sharing capabilities, TechSmith Relay allows users to do basic video editing, integrate quizzing and other video interactivity, and bring in external videos for enhancements. TechSmith Relay will serve as the primary platform for storing media content across campus, giving faculty, students, and staff the ability to create, upload, and share videos from one location. The offices of Educational Outreach, Accessible Campus Community & Equitable Student Support (ACCESS), and Information Technology Services are collaborating to bring you a new audio/video hosting platform called TechSmith Relay. School of Education, Health and Human Behavior.Instructional videos also enable instructors to “flip” the classroom by covering the content online and helping students to practice or discuss the concepts in class. This mode of instructional delivery helps students to learn course content at their own pace and on their own time. Pedagogy Connection: TechSmith Relay enables instructors to create high quality and engaging instructional videos for any course.
Relay is available for students to use as well. Relay is installed in classrooms on all PC teaching stations. Relay allows you to add quiz questions to your videos, as well. The simplicity of Relay makes it easy to record, publish and share your videos. Along with the video from the computer screen, record your voice and other audio, and optionally your face with a webcam. Capture everything that you can display on a computer screen, including PowerPoint presentations, and interactions with software or web sites. This session will introduce you to the capabilities of the newest version of TechSmith Relay to record lectures and presentations that can be shared with students.
